St. Petersburg Man Killed on 54th Avenue North

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Chevy Bolt, operated by a 33-year-old man from Los Angeles, California, was traveling eastbound when the St. Petersburg pedestrian unexpectedly entered the roadway. The pedestrian was initially struck by the Chevy Bolt and subsequently hit by a Honda Civic, driven by a 30-year-old Seminole man, also moving eastbound.
Emergency responders declared the pedestrian deceased at the scene due to the catastrophic injuries. The driver of the Chevy Bolt sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the driver of the Honda Civic was unharmed.
Both vehicles involved came to a controlled stop after the accident.
