Fatal Collision Claims Life of 28-Year-Old Man at US-41



PASCO COUNTY, FL – According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a tragic incident occurred on Thursday, June 7, 2024, at approximately 4:14 PM on US-41 in Pasco County, resulting in the death of a local man.


Authorities report that a Toyota Corolla, driven by a 28-year-old male from Port Richey, was traveling eastbound on Bowman Road. At the same time, a Chevy Silverado towing a trailer, operated by a 32-year-old male from Brooksville, was moving southbound on US-41.


The accident took place at the intersection of Bowman Road and US-41 where the Toyota Corolla failed to halt at the stop sign. It entered the intersection directly in the path of the Chevy Silverado. The impact was severe enough to cause the Toyota to rotate and come to a final stop along the shoulder of the roadway. The Chevy Silverado, along with its trailer, jackknifed and also ended up along the shoulder.

Tragically, the driver of the Toyota Corolla succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The occupants of the Chevy Silverado, including the 32-year-old driver and a 41-year-old male passenger, also from Brooksville, did not sustain any injuries.
