Hillsborough County, FL. - According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a devastating traffic accident occurred at noon on May 26, 2024, on Gibsonton Drive in Hillsborough County, resulting in the death of a 57-year-old man from Riverview. The incident involved a collision between a Nissan Frontier and a BMW motorcycle.

The crash unfolded as the driver of the Nissan Frontier, a 59-year-old woman from Gibsonton, was navigating the exit ramp from northbound I-75 to enter westbound Gibsonton Drive. At the same time, the BMW motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Gibsonton Drive, approaching the exit ramp. The Nissan failed to yield and attempted a left turn, crossing directly into the path of the oncoming motorcycle.

The collision was severe, with the motorcyclist suffering fatal injuries and being pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Nissan sustained minor injuries during the incident.
