Daytona Beach, FL – After three months evading capture, Jerry Murphy III, a target of Operation Heartbreaker, has been apprehended. On May 29, the Daytona Beach Police Department's Violent Crime Apprehension Team assisted the Flagler County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) in arresting Murphy. He was wanted on active warrants for the Sale of Cocaine, Sale of Fentanyl, and Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communication Device.
Murphy's capture is a significant success for Operation Heartbreaker, an initiative aimed at cracking down on drug-related crimes in the region. With Murphy now in custody, only two fugitives remain at large: Eric Felder and Moses Warren.
Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly emphasized the inevitability of capturing the remaining fugitives, stating, "You can run but you can't hide, even outside of Flagler County. It's only a matter of time before the last two fugitives find themselves visiting the Green Roof Inn, so I encourage them to turn themselves in so they can get an early check-in."
