Lakeland Community Shaken by Theft of Children's Bikes: Polk County Sheriff's Office Investigates


LAKELAND, FL - In a disheartening turn of events, two children in Lakeland have become victims of theft after their bicycles were stolen right from their home. The Polk County Sheriff's Office is now seeking assistance from the public to solve these thefts, which have left a dark mark on the community's spirit.


The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, December 10, 2023. According to the reports, two juvenile suspects trespassed onto the back patio of a residence on Lawndale Road in Lakeland. There, they committed the theft of a blue Schwinn bicycle and a black Mongoose bicycle, items of great value and sentiment to the young owners.



The Sheriff's Office, under case number 23-51805, is diligently working on the investigation. They are calling on anyone who might have information related to this case to step forward.
