New Port Richey Man Killed in Fiery Motorcycle Crash on SR-54 in Pasco County

Pasco County, FL - A tragic accident occurred this morning in Pasco County, resulting in the death of a 32-year-old man from New Port Richey. The crash happened at approximately 7:20 AM on State Road 54 (SR-54).
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the accident involved a Suzuki motorcycle and a Ford Expedition. The motorcycle, driven by a 32-year-old New Port Richey man, was traveling eastbound on SR-54. Meanwhile, the Ford Expedition, driven by a 46-year-old Tampa man, was heading northbound on the exit ramp leading from SR-589 to SR-54.
At the intersection, the Ford Expedition turned left under a green traffic signal. Unfortunately, the Suzuki motorcycle ran a red traffic signal and collided with the Expedition. The impact caused the motorcycle to become engulfed in flames. Despite the immediate response from emergency services, the motorcycle driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
