Suspect Caught on Camera During Early Morning Attempted Vehicle Burglaries in Poinciana

POINCIANA, FL. - According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, they are currently investigating a series of attempted vehicle burglaries that occurred in the early hours of July 16, 2024, on Nelson Brook Way in Poinciana. According to case # 24-28438, the suspect targeted multiple vehicles in the neighborhood, attempting to break into two locked cars in a driveway.
Detectives have secured a security video that captures the suspect trying to remove the keyhole covers on several vehicles, presumably in an effort to gain entry. The incident took place shortly after 4:00 AM.
