On Monday Afternoon Lake Wales Fire And Police Departments Responded to a traffic accident,Engine 2, Rescue One, Squad One, Medic 11, and Medic 45, rushed to the scene of a serious traffic accident involving two vehicles, one of which was a motorcycle. The incident occurred at the intersection of Scenic Highway and Browton Street in Lake Wales.
Upon arrival at the scene, emergency responders found two individuals lying on the ground, both in need of immediate medical attention. The severity of their injuries prompted the emergency responders to request two helicopters for transport to the hospital.
The 2 helicopters landed at the Lake Wales Mall parking lot to airlift the patients to the nearest medical facility. The cause of the accident remains unknown at this time, and the Lake Wales Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
