FHP: Early Morning Crash in Citrus County Claims Life of Young Driver

Citrus County, FL. - According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), a fatal crash in Citrus County claimed the life of a 23-year-old Beverly Hills, Florida man in the early hours of Saturday, May 5. The accident occurred on North Forest Ridge Boulevard, south of West Pentstemon Court.


According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident took place at around 2:20 AM when the driver, operating a Hyundai Accent, was traveling northbound on North Forest Ridge Boulevard.



Tragically, he failed to properly negotiate a curve in the roadway, leading to a series of catastrophic events. The vehicle initially struck a pedestrian guardrail, then overturned and collided with a set of utility pole guide wires.


The violent sequence of impacts culminated with the vehicle coming to rest at 259 West Pentstemon Court, where the driver suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.


The Florida Highway Patrol urges anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has relevant information to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
